Research Training & Mentorship Programs

A key mission for ACCORDS is to train researchers in health outcomes research and provide mentorship to nurture junior faculty, post-doctoral fellows, and other early-career trainees. We offer two formal research fellowship training programs at ACCORDS: the HRSA-funded ACCORDS Primary Care Research Fellowship (APCRF) and the SCORE junior faculty fellowship.  Each fellowship includes strong research support from dedicated mentors, weekly work-in-progress sessions, and other didactic trainings in research methods and grant-writing. APCRF and SCORE fellows typically complete 1-2 research projects and submit a career development K award or other relevant small grant. The APCRF primarily recruits post-doctoral fellows (MDs or PhDs) with primary care research interests from across the United States and SCORE primarily recruits faculty with an appointment (or offer) at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. New fellows are recruited annually for a July 1 start date.
