Dr. Lum is a geriatrician, palliative medicine physician, and health services researcher. She conducts patient-centered research to improve care for older adults with serious illnesses, including dementia. She designs real-world interventions for primary care and community settings, including advance care planning, patient portal, and dementia care models. She mentors trainees and junior faculty from different disciplines through her roles as TEaM Director, a Co-Director of the Clinical Faculty Scholars Program, and the CU Palliative Care and Aging T32 Fellowship Program.
