Dr. Caroline Tietbohl is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Division of Geriatric Medicine, and a Qualitative & Mixed Methods Methodologist in ACCORDS at the University of Colorado Anschutz. She is a sociologist whose research examines how communication shapes decision making, patient experience, and variations in healthcare delivery. Her work draws on expertise in conversation analysis, qualitative methodology, and mixed methods to inform patient and caregiver centered interventions that improve communication and support complex decision-making. Dr. Tietbohl's research aims to strengthen clinician communication and improve healthcare experiences, particularly for older adults and their caregivers.
