Healthy Eating and Activitiy Across the Lifespan (HEAL)

The Healthy Eating and Activity across the Lifespan (HEAL) Lab is Dr. Jerica Berge’s research portfolio that examines multi-level factors influencing whole-person health in children and families across the life course. HEAL studies use mixed methods such as mHealth digital technology, geospatial measures, online surveys, video-recorded tasks, qualitative interviews, biological data, and more to gain a comprehensive understanding of child and family whole-person health. There are currently two main studies being carried out in the HEAL Lab: The Family Matters Longitudinal Cohort Study and The Family Matters Intervention.

MissionHEAL integrates research, clinical practice, community resources, and policy to improve healthy eating and activity across the lifespan.

Vision: HEAL inspires a culture of health.
