Chris Knoepke is an Associate Professor in the Division of Cardiology and Director of Strategy for the Firearm Injury Prevention Initiative, both at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. He applies a clinical social work lens to his research, which addresses patient-centered care in advanced cardiology and methods by which to reduce firearm-involved injuries and deaths. His work has been supported by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute; the National Institute of Justice; the American Heart Association; the Fund for a Safer Future; the National Collaborative for Gun Violence Research; the American College of Cardiology Foundation; and the Face the Fight Foundation.
